‘Uncle Drew’: Film Review

Whether you are a fan of Kyrie Irving or not, this sports comedy film is a must see for basketball fans this summer. Uncle Drew, is about Dax (Lil Rel Howery) who spends his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic street ball tournament in Harlem. Dax has always dealt with a series of unfortunate setbacks, including losing his team to his longtime rival (Nick Kroll). Eager to win the prize money and prove to Mookie (Nick Kroll) that he is the man, Dax meets the basketball legend Uncle Drew (NBA All Star Kyrie Irving). Set on a quest to round up Uncle Drew’s old basketball team and prove to Mookie’s team that they still got it, the film teaches its viewers about family, love, grudges and motivation. Film is out now in theatres
