Corderro Allantaé McMurry is a PhD student at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Communication. He is a Rocky Mountain Emmy award winner for producing a promotional program at NAU-TV at Northern Arizona University. He sees himself in the future working as a host for an entertainment show as he stays up to date on pop culture and fashion. Currently, Corderro is focusing on using his diverse skills, energy and smile while bringing fun entertainment to his audience as a sideline reporter, and color commentator for live broadcasts on Your Phoenix CW, PlutoTV, and Fox Sports AZ. Corderro is a social media manager and coordinator across all platforms for NAU-TV.

He has graduated with his Master’s degree in Communication at Northern Arizona University (NAU). His thesis went viral on Twitter and around the world after Kim Kardashian West asked for a copy of the paper since it focused on her. The 68 page research paper focused on entertainment news and hardcore news with the case study focusing on Kim Kardashian West. He was also published in Cosmopolitan magazine for his research paper on Khloé Kardashian’s show, Revenge Body. He completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Arizona (UofA) in Communication with a minor in Theatre of May 2014.
During his undergrad at the UofA, Corderro had the opportunity to be an intern at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Through this great opportunity, he learned how to interact with a diverse group of people which he uses when he is on camera to relate stories and draw in his audience.
After Corderro graduated the UofA, he worked at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California. As a clerk floater for the Studios, he had the opportunity to gain real inside knowledge of how the entertainment business works, in which he uses to his advantage when creating his entertainment news stories.
For fun he likes to go to the gym, play basketball and watch movies. Other things that he is interested in is traveling, fashion, the beach and reading books. Corderro McMurry is known as “#TheReporterWithTheKicks.” When he is side line reporting or hosting a show, you can catch Corderro wearing an exclusive sneaker. His huge passion is music where you can always witness him dancing and singing to various genres of music.
